Helmet Use

Helmet Policy: It is the standard practice of the Clinton Sailing Club (CSC) to require students, instructors, volunteers, and anyone on board a CSC sailboat to wear a helmet supplied by CSC. If you would like to opt out of this requirement and assume all responsibility for you or your minor child, please check the appropriate button, read the helmet waiver statement, and sign below. The instructors will not have the ability accept helmet waivers during the program.

NO. I (or my child) will NOT wear a helmet. I the undersigned acknowledge that there are inherent dangers with sailing including but not limited to being hit with the boom or thrown from the boat as it capsizes. I realize that my minor child or I am subject to injury from this activity and that no form of pre-planning can remove all dangers to which we are exposing ourselves. I have chosen for myself or my minor child to sail without protective helmets that will be provided by the Clinton Sailing Club and acknowledge that helmets could help minimize or prevent the effects of an impact to the head.
