  • What is Clinton Sailing Club (CSC)? Clinton Sailing Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting safe, active, and fun community sailing.
  • What is CSC’s goal? Our goal is to make sailing available to all, regardless of income level.
  • How can I donate to CSC or get a membership? Donate + Join to become a member and support CSC today!
  • What programs does CSC offer? CSC offers Youth Sailing lessons at Clinton Town Beach. We have four levels from beginner to advanced. In summer 2018, our ½ day, week-long sessions ran Monday to Friday from June 25th – August 24th
  • Does CSC offer adult lessons? We sure do! Women’s Sailing launched in summer 2017. This is a supportive class focused on safety, learning, and fun. We sold out and plan to offer more lessons in 2018!
  • How about Veteran’s Sailing? Our sister organization Pay4ward offers FREE sailing for veterans. Learn more or donate today!
  • Will you offer other programs in future? We are currently exploring Morgan Club Racing and a Community Sailing Program. What would you like CSC to offer? Let us know!
  • What boats do you teach on? Younger kids learn on Laser BugsRS Quests, and RS Zest training dinghies. Older kids sail on Flying Juniors (FJs). Women’s Sailing is also taught on Zests and Quests. In future, we would love to get Hartley 12.2s and Hobie Waves for Community Sailing. Check out CSC’s fleet projects to learn more about our future plans!
  • Who are your Instructors? CSC hires experienced instructors to give you the best possible learning experience. All our instructors are US Sailing Level 1 Instructor certified or equivalent.
  • Who runs CSC? CSC is run by our volunteer Board of Directors. We are a group of people who care about Clinton kids and love sailing!
  • What are Sailorships? Sailorships are “sailing scholarships” for Clinton kids ages 8-18. Our main criteria is financial need; you can apply here or Donate + Join here ($250 per Sailorship)!
  • How can I get involved? We are currently looking for new Board members with a passion for sailing and kids. We also need volunteers for our Junior Instructor and Shore Power programs. Or Donate + Join CSC today to help fund our programs!
  • Who are Junior Instructors? Junior Instructors are teens age 13+ who volunteer to help run our kid’s summer program. They learn about leadership, coaching, and teamwork. It’s a great way to gain confidence and become a better sailor. Learn more or apply today!
  • What is Shore Power? Shore Power is our land-based adult safety team. If a kid needs a break or gets hurt, Shore Power is there to help. We offer discounted and free lessons in return for volunteering. First Aid/CPR certification required. This is the most fun volunteer job on the Shoreline! Learn more or apply today!
