Laurie learned to sail as an adult on Long Island Sound in 1991 with Sound Sailing Center in Norwalk. She and her husband Joe bought their first sailboat in 1999 and spent years enjoying overnight trips to Essex and Greenport. In 2003 they ventured to the British Virgin Islands for a bareboat charter vacation with their twins and had a wonderful week sailing from island to island.
Laurie has been a resident of the Shoreline since 1996 and is currently a Real Estate Agent with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. She and her husband are the proud parents of Kate and Andrew, who both inevitably caught “the sailing bug” and raced on Madison’s Daniel Hand High School sailing team.
