Connie Warner – Director

Connie spent her first 19 years growing up in New Haven. She spent her summers as a child at a camp in Durham with a small lake and learned to love canoeing. Summers as a teenager included power boating in New Haven Harbor with friends.

In her 20s, she fell in love with a sailor. Five years ago, she became part of the Dark and Stormy crew with her husband, Jerry and his sailing partner, Al Walker. Two years ago, she took the Women’s Sailing Class with CSC to develop her own capacity as a sailor.

Connie has a passion for working with children, youth, and their families. She has served in a variety of capacities, both professional and volunteer, to build, strengthen, and support programs in private, non-profit, and public sectors.

Connie and Jerry have lived in Clinton for 20 years. They have a son, Brett, and two dogs, Sailor and Hudson. Though Hudson has retired from sailing, Sailor is living up to her name!
