Alan learned to sail at age 12 at YMCA Camp Belknap on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
But the sailing bug really bit Alan after moving to Clinton in 2008. His first boat was a used 17′ O’Day Daysailer, followed by a 13′ Hobie Wave catamaran, then a 2000 32′ Beneteau Oceanis 321. Alan now recognizes that he has a boat problem. They say this is the first step to getting help…
Proud father to two young boys, Alan gets the kids outdoors whenever possible. You can find them walking at Clinton Town Beach, Hammonasset, Shoreline Greenway Trail, Clinton Land Conservation Trust properties, or just around downtown Clinton. Their dogs Gus and Ariel often join them!
Alan also serves as a volunteer Board member on the Clinton Land Conservation Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which owns and manages more than 800 acres of open space in the Town of Clinton.
