Do you remember who first took you to the beach? A parent, family member, friend? Be the person to introduce young sailors to a lifetime on the water!
Clinton Sailing Club (CSC) taught nearly 200 kids to sail in summer 2016. CSC is planning exciting new programs for 2017 – with your help, we will take it to the next level:
CSC 2017 programs
- 40 CSC Sailorships for Clinton kids
- CSC adult, family, senior, & veterans sailing
- Membership-based community sailing & racing programs
In order to accomplish these goals, we need to raise funds. The Clinton community stepped up in 2016 to help CSC buy used boats, pay our instructors, and cover insurance costs. Now we are raising the bar to bring you an even better program in 2017. Here’s what we need to do this:
CSC fundraising goals
- $10,000 for 40 CSC Sailorships – teach Clinton children in need the joy of sailing. Learn leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence
- $40,000 for 6 new, high-quality Hartley 12.2 boats – help CSC expand our programs with safe, modern, and fast boats
- Sunfish & kayak donations (new or good used condition) – grow the CSC fleet to build a community sailing program
These are big goals, and may seem out of reach. But it’s local people like you who make a difference by contributing to CSC. Our Board, staff, volunteers, and your generous gifts work together to provide this amazing program to our Shoreline community.
We are grateful for any and all donations. CSC is now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gifts are tax-deductible (previous donations were tax-deductible via Clinton Placemakers). EVERY PENNY GOES DIRECTLY TO FUNDING CSC PROGRAMS. Your gift will help kids and families learn to sail!
Here’s what your gift means to our program:
CSC donation levels
- $100 – pay one of our U.S. Sailing Level 1 Instructors
- $250 – give a 2017 CSC Sailorship to a Clinton kid in need
- $650 – fund 10% of a new, high-quality Hartley 12.2 sailboat
- $6,500 – buy a complete new Hartley 12.2 plus choose the boat name
